10.0I was pleasantly surprised by all the facilities and comfort that this hotel provides, including a very nice breakfast.

9.0The bed was soft and comfortable. Staff cleaned and tidied the room daily. There were a plethora of savoury and sweet options in the cafeteria for breakfast. The staff was warm and helpful, explaining not only the logistics pertaining to the room and B&B but also regarding attractions in the area. The check in and check out processes were quick and effortless. The hotel was clean and pretty. The room had a kettle and cups and tea bags.

8.0The place is very pleasant and well tended-to. It is one relatively short bus ride away from Termini station. The staff is nice. The choice for breakfast is good. The rooms are comfortable and fairly large, with air-con working but not freezing. And, like many religious houses, it's quite cheap for Rome.
− The only downside was that, in the building where my room was, partition walls are very thin: if somebody chatted in the corridor, or if the person in the next room snored, you'd hear it loud and clear.
Good value for money, an escape from the crowds
9.0Overall I had a great experience at Casa San Giuseppe. My room was clean and comfortable, the staff were friendly, and the breakfast was great. I also liked that it is in a relatively quiet part of the city, making it a nice a escape after a day of dealing with large crowds while sightseeing. While not in the centre, it is also not particularly far away from the main attractions. It is a roughly 25-minute walk to the Colosseum. Importantly, the rooms have good aircon.
− As a few other reviews have mentioned, the soundproofing of the rooms could be a bit better. I was woken up by noises in the night on occasion. The signage could also be a bit larger and clearer. It was not easy to find in my sleep deprived state after a long haul flight.
