Not so lux apartment - over-priced and under-delivered
6.0The apartment was spacious, airy, well located and well equipped in some respects.
− On arrival there, there was no toilet paper and no tea towel (all dishes needed to be hand washed) so we needed to head to the supermarket to buy both. There were wet sheets and towels in the dryer on arrival. While there was a language barrier with the person who gave us the key, it appeared that it was for us to dry them for our use - it took several hours to do so given the volume of items and it was necessary as there were only 2 dry towels for 3 of us. The bedding and towels were old, threadbare and significantly stained - one of the quilts had a significant amount of dried blood on it. While the air-conditioner in the living area worked well, the air-conditioners in the bedrooms were ineffective. It took us half an hour to get sound on the tv working. One of the toilets was unusable due to a faulty cistern. The floors had been vacuumed but didn’t appear to have been washed. We had been looking forward to staying in the apartment and, given the Price, were disappointed that the apartment let itself down with some very basic and easily remedied issues.

10.0The apartment was a great size and nicely laid out, so was very relaxing. The interior was a lovely mix of traditional and modern elements, all in good condition. The beds and sofa were comfortable and the air-con and lift were very welcomed. The balcony was lovely to get out on and good to dry the beach stuff The location was great, to be in the heart of the Gothic Quarter and Jeff's recommendations for restaurants were all fabulous.
