Beliggenheden var i top, der var rent og hyggeligt. Et fint lille værelse og det var nemt at ankomme

− Køleskabet var ikke super godt. Det virkede desværre ikke som det skulle, men ellers var alt andet virkelig fint og i god stand.

nice big comfy bed although the duvet did not have a cover - only a sheet on top of it so i hope they get laundered after each visit. Can whatsapp the hosts if you need to before, during and after your stay. Room was on the ground floor so did not have to keep climbing the stairs - there are enough steps in Venice. Instructions to and from the house were good and check-in/check-out was seamless. Location is great for getting around and there are a few shops locally too. Room and bathroom were clean as was the fridge and shower. Nice full length mirror for getting ready. Free WiFi that worked well too. Sockets near bed and plenty of lighting with switches by the bed so they can be turned off at night.

− The front door slams very hard if not closed by hand. One morning I was woken at 4am by a guest leaving - the suitcase wheels clattered down the stone steps and the front door slammed twice! Please could a sign be placed asking for guests to be more considerate. Room is small and dominated by a large bed and the shower, which is ok if staying for a few days but not longer. A/C does not oscillate so the coldest part is just below it and the fridge has to be closed by hand. If slammed the door rebounds open and items remain warm. As the fridge is inside a cabinet this is not immediately noticeable. No tea/coffee making facilities - a kettle would have been nice and maybe some drinking water? I made sure to check if there were toiletries provided and was assured of this but only liquid hand soap bottle there. When queried the host said soap is used as shower gel too - but still no shampoo/conditioner so had to get some. Given that the shower is in the main room you would need to keep moving the bottle which is not hygienic. Also the facilities state private bathroom which is not accurate as the shower is in the bedroom so this should say private toilet. Apparently according to the host, Venice law only permits guesthouses to provide a bed? Sink is too high in the bathroom even for my husband who is 5ft 11inches, and no towel holders anywhere! The ground floor stairwell is used for recycling bins and used laundry - not pleasant to see as your first impression when you enter, but also immediately outside our room. Overall the room is very basic for the price and could do with a few nice touches - drinking water, kettle, map of the area/local information and a guest welcome book with info on recycling, setting up the safe etc?
