Perfect Stay Near Barcelona

From the very moment we met Gerard and he showed us the apartment, I already knew what review I would be writing. Gerard was kind enough to pick us up from the airport and drive us to the apartment for an additional fee, which was very convenient for us. The apartment is fantastic—clean, spacious, and equipped with absolutely everything needed for a comfortable stay. Everything smelled fresh, and the bathroom was spotless. What impressed me the most was that Gerard had thoughtfully left food and drinks for us in case we were hungry after our journey. No other host had ever done that for us before. The location is also excellent—just a 5–6 minute walk from the train station, where you can easily connect to the metro and travel into Barcelona. There are two supermarkets nearby, a bakery about 50 meters from the apartment, a restaurant on the square serving delicious tapas, and a great gelato shop. We traveled to Barcelona every day, and the transportation was extremely convenient. I highly recommend getting a transport pass. Communication with Gerard was outstanding. We stayed in constant contact, he regularly checked on us to make sure everything was going well, and he was always quick to respond whenever we needed assistance. If you want to visit Barcelona but also enjoy peace, cleanliness, and comfort away from the crowds, Gerard’s apartment in Santa Coloma de Cervelló is the perfect place for you. We would gladly stay here again!

Eine wirklich außergewöhnliche Unterkunft mit einem sehr netten und hilfsbereiten Gastgeber (danke dafür). Wir wurden herzlich empfangen, wurden durch das Appartment geführt und haben viele Tipps bekommen (Transfer in die Stadt, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten,...). Vor Ort gab es eine Snacks und Grundnahrungsmittel für die Erstversorgung nach einer langen Reise. Es ist alles sauber und sehr schön eingerichtet. Zu den Öffis geht man kaum 10 Minuten und der Transfer in die Innenstadt ist gut zu organisieren (ca. 45 Minuten). Alles wunderbar, wir können das Quartier bestens weiterempfehlen.

The location of the apartment was very good, in central Santa Coloma de Cervello, 5 min walk to the train station into Barcelona. Trains are very regular and take 23 min to Placa D'Espana. Gerard recommended T-Usual transport card which costs only Euro 22.80 for a whole month and cover Zone 1 on all trains / metro / buses, so its a fantastic option. We went into Barcelona every day. All apt windows are facing a courtyard, so there is really no noise (apart from birds !). There are 2 balconies as well, all being very small. A fully equipped kitchen (and snacks / beers/ wine courtesy of Gerard in the fridge), with dishwasher and washing machine (all tablets/detergents provided) and a large bathroom with a shower over the bath. Excellent towels and plenty. Great living area, with a dinning table, a couch, TV with access to Internet / Netflix / Amazon Prime / etc via Firestick. All windows have shutters which makes it very dark for sleeping or privacy in the living room. Large double bedroom with double door wardrobe, plenty of storage space. Single room with bunk beds, we didn't have any use of it being just the 2 of us, apart from drying clothes and doing some ironing, but a very good 2nd bedroom. And finally, to the host, Gerard. He has been fantastic all the way, from the time of booking the apt to leaving. He provided answers to all our questions, loads of advise, information about our surroundings, etc...I have not enough words to describe how safe we felt in the apartment and how sorry we felt when we had to leave ! There are a few good terases/restaurants around the apartment (50-100m), we particularly like The Garisson, the seafood platter is exquisite. By the way, please go and visit the Colonia Guell, including the Gaudi cript, it's well worth the 10 Euro fee, it really is fantastic and its only 1 km from the apt !

− There is nothing we didn't like, the whole experience was excellent so we really recommend Gerard and his apartment !!!

Всичко ми хареса! Като започнем от изключително отзивчивия и любезен домакин, който се отзоваваше на всички въпроси, които имахме още преди да сме пристигнали! Когато пристигнахме на летището, бяхме объркани как да стигнем до мястото, звъннахме му и той веднага предложи да дойде и да ни вземе. По пътя, преди да ни настани спря и ни показа от къде да си вземем билети за градския транспорт и кои са ни най-изгодни. Настани ни и отново ни каза, че ако имаме нужда от нещо, с удоволствие ще ни съдейства. Апартаментът беше просторен и много чист, оборудван с всички удобства - миялна, пералня, печка, хладилник, кана за вода, кафемашина и изобщо всичко необходимо. Домакинът, Жерар се беше погрижил и да не останем гладни и жадни 🙂, като ни беше оставил различни неща за добре дошли - хляб, вода, сок, вино, бира, шунка, кашкавал, мъфини, чипс, както и капсули кафе и чай! В банята беше оставил различни шампоани и душгелове. Мястото е на 2-3 минути от спирката на влакчето, с което можеш да стигнеш навсякъде. Районът е много приятен и безопасен. На две крачки разстояние от няколко супермаркета, заведения и кафе-сладкарнички. Чувствахме се комфортно и останахме много доволни от цялото преживяване! Много благодарим за топлото посрещане и за всичко, което направи за нас домакинът Жерар! Ако някой ден решим да отидем пак в Барселона, със сигурност ще отседнем пак там!

Amazing stay in a peaceful neighborhood

We had an exceptional stay at this apartment. The owner, Gerard, was amazing and incredibly helpful throughout our visit. He even kindly provided some groceries for our breakfast, which was a thoughtful and much-appreciated gesture. The internet speed was excellent, allowing me to continue working and upload video files without any issues. Everything exceeded our expectations, and we would gladly stay here again.
