Spacious apartment in good and quiet location, but could be improved

Spacious apartment in quiet location. Very conveniently situated for the museum quarter, which was about ten minutes' walk away. Large and comfortable bed.

− Attention to detail in the apartment and its facilities could be improved, for example: - bath mat was dirty and needed to be washed or replaced - kitchen included dustpan but no brush - there was only one saucepan with a lid, which limited cooking options - there were no instruction manuals for appliances or information about recycling (though partial recycling information was provided in response to our question) - there was no microwave, despite one being shown as included in the specification - we reported two issues within the first 24 hours; despite being acknowledged, these were not resolved during our stay (kitchen extractor not working; toilet seat, which was loose on arrival, becoming very loose and potentially unsafe).

Very enjoyable stay at Amsterdam!

The flat was clean and had lovely interior design. It’s close to the Van Gogh Museum and within walkable distance to many tourist spots. Our host Maria was lovely and checked in with us before and throughout our trip. Highly recommended!

The apartment is very nice and spacious! We loved the large living room and the very comfortable beds. There’s plenty of space for luggage and personal belongings, which made our stay even more convenient. The stairs are quite steep, but they were manageable even for a person in her seventies, as long as you don’t have to go up and down too often. Communication with the host (or agency) was smooth and easy. The neighbourhood is lovely, and the location is excellent — the tram stop is just a few minutes’ walk away, which makes it accessible even for elderly guests. I would definitely stay here again!

− Some practical kitchen utensils would be a great addition: scissors, small sharp knives (there are some, but they don’t cut well), a tea strainer, a moka pot (although a Nespresso machine is provided), and a teapot. There’s no working ventilator in the bathroom, which makes the room damp quite easily. There are also no smaller reading lamps in the bedrooms. The larger lamps give off a pleasant, warm light and make the place feel cosy, but it can be quite dark in the evenings (except for the bright white LED light in the kitchen).
