− WiFi was only intermittently unavailable. The staff indicated it was a provider problem so likely not a reason. It to book here.
Sleepless
2.0Location is good for the sights
− The noise outside our room was relentless throughout the night. The complimentary earplugs beside the bed should have been a giveaway that we were in for a sleepless night. This is simply not a hotel to choose if a good night’s sleep is important. The noise continued well into the early hours, from restaurants packing up to people wheeling suitcases over the cobblestones, traffic and rubbish collection. My friend then had to begin a 24-hour journey back to Australia on virtually no sleep, while I had a full workday ahead of me. It’s a real shame because the staff were lovely and the room itself was perfectly decent. I suspect that rooms higher up or on the opposite side of the building don’t suffer from the same issue. Unfortunately, ours overlooked the source of the noise and should either be better soundproofed or guests should be warned before booking. What disappointed us most was the lack of any response after our stay. We contacted the hotel several times to share our experience but received no reply. It was a missed opportunity to acknowledge our concerns and show that guest feedback matters.

− The AC is not as cold as you expect it to be after 99° weather outside. mornings can be very loud because of garbage pick up and cars driving up and down the street

7.0The staff were simply great, and the location of the hotel is fantastic, just a five minute walk from the Colosseum and Palatine hill Forum . Lots of restaurants nearby.
− The hotel needs some work done, the sofas in the entrance hall are worn out ,and the terrace where we had breakfast,and becomes a bar in the evening, also needs a refit.
