Dirty, smelly, unhygienic, and completely misleading — absolutely not worth the money.

− Absolutely terrible hotel. The photos are completely misleading — the reality looks nothing like what is shown online. The room was dirty, damp, smelled awful, and felt extremely unhygienic. The bathroom was so dirty that we could not even bring ourselves to shower. Even the towels had a bad smell. Everything looked neglected, poorly maintained, and honestly disgusting. It was so bad that we left the next day even though we had already paid for the stay. One of the worst hotel experiences we’ve ever had. Dirty, smelly, damp, misleading and absolutely not worth the money. I would never recommend this place.

Missing lock on adjoining bathroom, felt uncomfortable for the lack of privacy during showers and bathroom usage.

Location and the first receptions was fantastic!!

− There was a missing lock in the shared bathroom and they did nothing to fix or accommodate us with a different room. The Second Gentleman receptionist came to our room to verify the problem and did nothing to accommodate us or compensate us for the problem.

Acceptable for a short trip to Venice.

One of the positive things about this hotel is that the staff is very friendly and if you arrive earlier than check-in time they can store your luggage or if you are lucky they will give you a room before 2pm if it is ready, as happened to us, which made our day much easier as we arrived on a rainy morning. The reception is open 24 hours, Santa Lucia train station is very close to the hotel, there is a supermarket and a wide variety of restaurants nearby. Another nice thing was that our room was cleaned after the second evening.

− I will be honest about this hotel review and I sincerely hope that the next people who want to stay here will read it. I stayed in Venice for 2 days, I read a lot of reviews about this hotel after I bought it, so I basically knew its minuses from other people's reviews. I knew it would be noisy, that it doesn't have a mini fridge, I knew it didn't have air conditioning, I knew the room was small. Moving on to my personal experience at this hotel, I can honestly tell you that indeed, the room is small (from the pictures shown on booking it looks much better but it is very old), the bathroom is extremely, extremely small, the bathroom door is extremely noisy, one thing that shocked us was the fact that the shower was not in the bathroom but separate. (I attached a photo of the shower.. it was very bad.. it has a white curtain in which you could see your partner taking a shower directly from the bed). The room was very cold, the crack in the door is very big and all the cold air comes in through there, so I improvised by putting towels on the floor (I attached the picture). As for the noise, it is very noisy and not because of the people on the street but from inside the hotel because you hear absolutely everything from the other rooms so it is very difficult to rest unless you are very tired. My opinion is that it is very expensive (500€ for 2 nights) considering that you do not have certain conditions. If you stay here I urge you to take slippers because it is very cold on the floor. It is by far the most unpleasant hotel I have stayed in.

Great location! Easy access from train station. Very clean room!

− No air conditioning in room and it was very hot while we were there. 2 room fans were provided which helped tremendously. The breakfast was adequate but not great. The lobby and stairs were dingy but it is an old European bldg. Though Booking.com classified this as a 3 star hotel, it is a 2 star hotel on their window which was more accurate. This is a pricey hotel for what you get.
