7.0The room and bathroom were clean, with fresh towels and bed linen as well as disposable slippers. The location was very central and convenient for exploring Venice. Breakfast was conveniently provided in the room and the quality was good, although perhaps not quite as exceptional as some of the reviews suggest. Check-in was contactless and, once we received the access codes, the process was easy and straightforward.
− The room was not what we expected from the photos. Of the four photos shown for the room type we booked, the first three appeared to show a different room, while only the last one matched the room we actually received, which was disappointing and felt misleading. Communication was only through WhatsApp, and we were asked to send photos of our passports/IDs there. This initially made us uncomfortable, especially as Booking.com advises guests to be cautious about sharing personal information through messages. The location is very central but also in a very touristy part of Venice, and getting there from the car parking area with luggage was quite tiring.
