− This accommodation should not be available on booking.com. You walk through the street door and the hallway has a significant problem with rising damp, all the wall is flaking and paint is no more. The stairs are steep and increasingly v narrow. The lift is old and doesn't instill a feeling of safety. And when you walk into the flat you are greeted with a strong smell of damp. The furniture is old and worn out and the rug is filthy. the master shower is mildewed and dirty I mentioned this to the management and I was thanked for my feedback... that was it. All the surrounding streets stink of urine and none of us felt at all safe in the area or in the flat. Colleague slept in the rear bedroom which has a window opening on to the internal ventilation shaft ... acting like a sound tube resonating all the noises from the upstairs neighbours. There are significant road works taking place the full length of the street. We could / should have been notified about this before arriving. But that is a different matter deeply unimpressed we booked for 4 nights but left after 2nights as it was just too grim. we moved to a well priced hotel on the Ramblas. I strongly discourage you from booking this apartment

The apartment was clean, it has two bedrooms, the living room and one of the bedrooms have a street view, the second bedroom is very small. We made online check-in and people from the agency were very helpful and always answered my questions. There is a supermarket very close, a metro station across the street There is also a plaza nearby with little local bistros. Good price considering price-performance ratio

− The building is old, and, although in good condition, the bad smell is present in the staircase and sometimes inside the apartment. The staircase is very narrow, not too pleasant if you are claustrophobic. There is a little plaza nearby which was very very noisy, we had the windows open and we could hear the street cleaning machine and all kind of noises. The apartment door can be opened only using the app. I found Poble Sec to be quite dirty
