Excellent place in a walkable area

− The AC was not good. Only one fan for a two bedroom.

− Although I emailed multiple times top ask, I was only told about a security deposit on arrival. I arrived at the property at 10 pm with a child who is in care. I didn't have enough cash to pay the deposit and my card was not activated. I asked if I can sort it out in the morning and they said no. Where am I supposed to go to at 10pm with a looked after child! They basically said pay the deposit or leave. Not considerate at all. I had to call a friend in the UK to help me. Furthermore, there the window in the main bedroom opens up into the laundry room and the window in the bathroom opens up to a solid wall...

I found it difficult to collect the security deposit for the house I filed a complaint with booking until the money was

− The location of the house is bad because it is in the heart of the city and they require expensive insurance

Great location, two minutes away from Sagrada Familia. The apartment is very spacious and clean. It has an amazing terrace. I would 100% visit Barcelona again and hopefully have the luck to book this place.

Look at other properties, Barcelona is an amazing city don't let your accommodation ruin your trip.

− The rental company was VERY difficult to communicate with, the information provided regarding where their office vs property was located was never made clear causing us to arrive at the address provided, at 8:30 am Barcelona time, then after making many calls at our exp told to we could leave luggage at the office, walked 45 mins toting 2 weeks worth of luggage in 90-degree weather to the office. Once we were in the apartment - found it was not as the pictures indicated, small AC in the kitchen with mold on unit, water stains in ceilings, dirty walls, uncomfortable old furniture , patio overlooking an overground backyard, tried to voice about the apartment 1st we were told by property management that we were just wanting our money back- ARE YOU FOR REAL- then contacted Booking.Com who after 45 min and 3 calls, which at this point has added up to 136.00 I am told the property was notified, pictures sent and they have 48 hours to respond. were only there for 48 hours. I sent pictures to Booking.com of the actual condition of the apartment as well, mold on AC, coffee maker that had not been cleaned maybe ever! As this was the start of a long saved 14-day vacation I could not continue arguing, my first 2 nights I slept on the couch as the AC did not cool the 2nd bedroom or outside the kitchen/1st bedroom. Mgt sent me a text at 11 am on our second day, now we are out site seeing, noting that they will address the issues at 1 pm that afternoon to be at the apartment or they can be there Sunday- well we had tours and were out at 11 am and we were due to check out on Sunday- FYI we had No issues with the rest of the properties we stayed at over the 2 weeks and met another family along the way who also had issues with Stay Barcelona and the condition of their accommodations vs promises /pictures.

Great location, small basic apartment.

The best feature, by far, was the location. We were two blocks from the Sagrada Familia.

− The primary drawback was the apartment size; the rooms were quite small — barely wide enough for the beds. The finishes and decorations were minimal. There was a “yippy dog” barking in the hall throughout the day.
