Great location and practical for families, but modest and somewhat dated
7.0The apartment is spread over two levels. The upper floor is like a studio with a small kitchen, shower, and toilet. The ground floor has a narrow galley-style kitchen, a living area, and two bedrooms, with a total of six sleeping spaces. The location is excellent. For us, as a family of five with three children, the space worked well, which was very nice—especially since space is often limited in Japan.
− Don’t expect luxury. The apartment felt somewhat dated overall, and the walls and windows feel quite thin. The windows were darkened and could barely be opened. The house is located in a narrow alley, so natural light is limited, and the photos give a brighter impression than reality. The living area is essentially a small room with several low sofas, but it’s not very practical—it’s difficult to sit there comfortably with five people. The seating at the table consists of stools, making it comfortable for about four people at most. While the space was acceptable, it is still quite small by European standards. There was also a noticeable smell of smoke and marijuana coming in from outside, particularly in one of the ground-floor bedrooms.
Great for family- especially with teens.
10.0Great communication before and during the stay. Accommodation was spacious for our family of 5, ( first time in Japan and we had heard that rooms and beds were small) Our 6ft+ teens needed to duck through some internal doorways, but happy with accommodation and would definitely stay again. Happy with the location, close to train stations and food options/ convenience.
− Super steep external stairs to the separate self contained area, but only a minor convenience- would stay again. Made for a great parents retreat away from the teens downstairs.
A fantastic location! Close to tons of food, konbinis, and a main subway station, and walkable to great neighborhoods
