Neat Japandi designed home. Good if you want to feel more local. Cool little neighborhood and about a 5-10min walk to Sengenjaya Station. Can walk to Shimokitazawa from there as well in about 20min. Check out Carrot Tower to get some good city views.

− Two beds were futon mattress on the tatami floor but our daughters didn’t mind them. It’s a home felling so has some aging to it but didn’t bother us.

A unique Tokyo experience

A huge thank you to Anton for hosting our family. We were an extended family of 7 (5 adults, 2 kids) and we absolutely loved Anton's uniquely renovated townhouse accommodation. What came as an extra special surprise was the charming neighbourhood of Sangenjaya that we found ourselves in. We loved feeling like we were living like locals; discovering restaurants and cafes that are not on the usual tourist's radar. We were still close enough to the train station to make a quick trip into hotspot favourites like Shibuya. And we even enjoyed a lazy walk up to the buzzing bohemian suburb of Shimokitazawa. If you want to experience a different type of Tokyo I can't recommend this accommodation enough.

An excellent start to our Japan experience.

We were unanimous on this - everything was excellent. We loved the area, including the gorilla, and the local restaurants (especially the craft beer bar with excellent humous). The kids were particularly impressed with the interior renovation. The owner was very friendly and helpful, chatted to us, and gave us a tip on a surfing location in Chiba Prefecture.

− None of the six of us had anything negative to say about our stay.

Lot of space in Tokyo, close to the hustle and bustle but in a quiet residential neighbourhood.

There is a lot of space in this house. The host, Anton has done great work to renovate it. There is fast wifi for taking video calls. There is a kitchen if you need to cook. The bathtub out in the back is great if you're looking to take a bath in nature, otherwise there is the regular bath/shower in the bathroom. The beds / tatami mats are comfortable. The area has lots to offer, lots of food options and good coffee too. If you're looking for some bread/pastries there are two bakeries and a pastry shop. It is close to the metro, 10 mins walk. We were here with two young children (3yo and 1yo) and we would repeat, the nature strip is great, there is a playground with lots of bikes and kids toys. In another direction is a playground by a shrine with some bunnies.
