1.0− The apartment initially made a great impression: two bedrooms, clean, comfortable setting. However, the morning after check-in, one of the guests developed red spots on their arms. We assumed it was an allergic reaction and didn't think much of it. On the second day, the spots increased and blisters appeared - we still thought it was an allergy. By the time we checked out, it became clear that these were most likely insect bites: the marks spread across the arms, a fever developed, and overall well-being worsened. After moving to another city, we saw a doctor, who confirmed insect bites (most likely ticks) and prescribed treatment, including an antibiotic. We contacted the property management to inform them of the situation and inquire about possible compensation. The property arranged for disinfection, but refused any compensation, suggesting that the insects might have been brought in by us. We would like to note that the symptoms appeared the very next day after check-in and fully resolved after we left the apartment, which is confirmed by a medical certificate. We are sharing this experience so that future guests can take this information into account when choosing accommodation.
