Excellent location, close to metro, restaurants and shops. Not a very touristy area, so you get a feel of real life in the city. The apartment building felt safe, if a little on the old side. The door opened with a code instead of a key, which was very handy. We were also very positively surprised that the bathroom had a bidet (which wasn’t obvious from the description and photos) and the drawers underneath the sink made it easy to store your stuff. The bedroom was quite spacious with a lot of closet space (first time I’ve seen so many hangers!), a very comfortable bed, spare blankets and pillows. The heating also worked very well which is definitely not a given in Madrid. Very good contact with the hosts (by whatsapp), they even allowed us to stay a bit overtime on check-out that made our life much easier. Many thanks!

− The apartment could improve its appeal with a slight renovation of the main living spaces. At the entrance, though there were two shelves, we still missed having somewhere to hang coats. It would be good to add some hooks and clear out the wardrobe (in the entrance) so it can be used for this purpose. In the kitchen, we could not find mugs for hot drinks, and eating at the bar was not very comfortable because the stools were too low. In the living room, since the flat is small, we would recommend putting a much smaller television to free up space. Also, for travellers with children, it would be appreciated to hide or clean up some loose cables. In the bathroom shower, the water pressure for the hot water (only) was unfortunately far too low and there was a strange smell coming from the drain. The iron provided was very good, but the ironing table could use a cover.

− This place had a horrible sewage smell coming from the bathroom that filled the entire place. It made it impossible to stay there. We asked for a refund because we had to pay for a new place but it wasn’t granted.
