4.0Location was ok, in a good, quiet neighborhood near a university, but a bit far from train station (15 min walk)
− The apartment is beginning to show its age and we found it wasn't that clean (couch seemed stained, rug seemed old and dusty, towels were old and worn out, etc), and we were missing a set of bedsheets upon arrival, but they weren't able to provide them until a day and a half later.

1.0− 🚨 COCKROACH INFESTATION + EXTREMELY UNETHICAL HOST 🚨 Do not book this property unless you want to sleep with cockroaches crawling into your bed and your food. I checked into this property as a single mother traveling alone with my young child. On day one, the nightmare started. We found massive cockroaches crawling inside the clothing closets. When I immediately contacted the host for emergency assistance, they completely abandoned us, refused to send anyone, and told us to fend for ourselves. The infestation is severe and out of control. I later found a cockroach inside my cafe latte, and another crawling directly next to the pillows where my child was sleeping. We were deeply traumatized and forced to flee the property in the middle of the night to protect my child's health. Because of this, my credit cards are now completely maxed out because I had to pay out of pocket for an emergency hotel.The host explicitly admitted to the cockroach infestation in writing, but then stole over $2,000 CAD of my money by refusing to refund the unused nights. They tried to gaslight me by saying "cockroaches are normal in Tokyo." This is an absolute lie—I have lived in Tokyo for 3 months and have never seen a single bug until this filthy apartment.This host is running a parasite-infested scam. They will take your money, leave you to sleep with disease-carrying pests, and abandon you the moment you ask for help. Save your money, save your sanity, and do not let your children step foot inside this biohazard.
