Hotel Dieu Nakanobu by Tranova

− This property has hotel in its name but it is not a hotel. After you book, you cannot check in. You have to fill in forms and wait for the host to provide you with checkin information. Nowhere in the listing does it say that you cannot check in immediately and need to fill out any forms before. You get that information in your email after you have already booked. I booked this accomodation a few hours before I got there and notified the host the time I would get there. When I got there nobody was there. I called the contact number and I couldn't reach anyone. It was 23:30 at night and I was a woman traveling alone. I was stranded outside in the streets of Tokyo because of these people. Never again. The host refused to accepted cancellation and refund my money. So I will file an official complaint with Booking.com and contact my credit card company for a chargeback. I will never let them keep my money. Update on 24th June 2026: The property's public response stated that they were sorry for my experience and that they would work with Booking.com to resolve the matter. However, despite this public statement, the property has refused to approve my cancellation or refund request. I spent hours on the phone with Booking.com and was informed that they can only issue a refund if the property agrees to it. The property has chosen not to do so, even though I never stayed there, never entered the accommodation, and never used any of its facilities. The property is aware that I arrived around 11:00 PM as a solo female traveler, was unable to reach anyone by phone, and was left outside in the cold and dark streets of Tokyo without access to the accommodation. The property also states in its post-booking email: "For same-day bookings, we may not be able to accommodate your preferred time." In my case, I booked only a few hours before arrival and had already informed the host of my expected check-in time.

− L’établissement était sal, pas comme sur les photos il ne devrait louer au public on ce pose réellement la question si le ménage est fait dans cette établissement… J’ai voulu boire un verre d’eau il y avait un poile dedans, sans compter tous ce dans le lit et la poussière non faite.
