Unacceptable and alarming sanitary conditions and structural flaws

The location is quite convenient (although a labyrinth to get to the metro/marina/anything due to Dubai being Dubai) The host was responsive, though the nature of the communication was very unprofessional. Everything is meant to save every penny and generate as much business as possible. Update 1: Unfortunately, I needed to decrease even further down to the minimum of 1 after further aggression of the host via What's App laughing about my property count not being > 100 and cancelation rates (he was not aware of simple mathematics and customers that use multiple portals to book for different regions and not booking all their trips with every friends/family constellation via their own account, he got from me additional screenshots of booking.com and Air___ overview as proof and the remark that we need further investigation via booking.com if further aggregation happens via other channels or based on my passport copies that they sadly have; instead there was no reaction to the disgusting photos) Update 2: Another confrontation with the host where the host now says that I left the apartment dirty. Luckily, as I got to know the host/his or her representative, I knew that this aspect could suddenly come. I have recorded my check out and send it to booking.com, leaving the apartment after own cleaning much cleaner than during check in.

− Shocking Cleanliness upon Arrival: The apartment was unprepared. Towels had deep orange/red stains, "fresh" linens were found wet on the balcony, and the toilet seat and floors were dirty. Structural Deficiencies & Zero Privacy: The bathroom "door" is merely a thin wooden panel that leaves a gap of over 10 cm. In a small studio, this means no privacy and no containment of odors or noise. This was hidden in the listing photos. Maintenance Issues: Persistent foul odors from the drains and/or AC unit, flies in the shower area from the drains (see photo, > 10 usually). Furthermore, the water heater was insufficient, taking sometimes over 10 minutes to provide even lukewarm water and if it works, difficult to get any water pressure. Missing Essentials: Basic items like forks were missing (only one knife provided), requiring a delivery later that night just to make the unit functional. Host/representative Attitude: This was the most disappointing part. They characterized the delivery of clean sheets and basic cutlery, items that should be standard, as a "goodwill gesture" rather than a basic obligation. The apartment was also listed via different names (we found it out later): This is a decision of the host or hosts. This does not influence the stay, but it could have been a wake up call for me... Summary: After booking exactly 107 properties here and elsewhere (thanks host for letting me count it in detail), this was my worst check-in experience. Instead of taking responsibility for the poor state of the apartment, the host resorted to gaslighting and eventually insulted me by claiming my documented complaints were "drama" to get money (in the official booking.com chat, what is rather questionable for an open case). Delivering basic sanitary items hours after check-in does not undo the fact that the property was completely unfit for purpose upon arrival. I strongly advise against staying here.

The place was so sophisticated and neatly decorated. The view was magnificent. The host was kind enough to assist in all aspects.
