Rodents living in apartment!

It was spacious and decorated nicely

− There were mice living in the sofa. Contacted the host and sent videos, having now read more reviews it’s clearly an infestation, although I noticed they have replied to these reviews to say it’s resolved but clearly isn’t. Host advised they would provide a partial refund but have never issued it and now are ignoring my what’s app messages and messages on booking.com. Very unprofessional to say they would provide a partial refund and then ignore a customer now we have paid in full, clearly aren’t concerned about their customers experiences.

We left the apartment early as it did not allow us to relax or sleep.

The apartment is tastefully decorated with a good design and high end fixtures. The apartment was spacious and clean and the staff member who walked us through was very nice and welcoming. However, none of this makes up for the terrible street noise that flows into the apartment. This apartment has no sound proofing. The apartment is located one level above the street level and you can hear everything and every conversation occurring outside, day and night, in the apartment rooms facing the street. One of these rooms with a window located on the street side facing Boulevard Saint-Denis is the main bedroom and the other is the living room. The constant noise does not allow for rest or sleep.

− There is no soundproof windows/walls to reduce street noise. The worst noise comes from the business to the left of the apartment building. This shop stays open long after other shops have closed. People sit outside the shop in chairs and others gather with them outside, and talk ALL NIGHT. This all occurs one level below the bedroom window. It is as if they are in the room with you. You cannot even hear the tv that is five feet in front of you and sleep was impossible. (This all occurred prior to France winning the European championship. We understand the city celebrating a big win. The noise issue was not a result of this.)

Mice in the apartment

Everything (except mice) was okeish, there is quite a lot of noise from the street during night hours (as there is a barber shop or smith like this on the ground floor), two of the bedrooms have en suite bathrooms, but no toilets (though there are 2 in the apartment, but not en suite).

− There were mice in the apartment! And the hosts were 100% aware as we found 2 mouse traps (one behind the sofa, the other under the sink). I reached out to the hosts the moment we saw the first mouse, their reaction was weird, at first they told me the are very surprised (remember the traps), then they admitted they knew about the problem, but it is quite common in Paris. Finally they did send someone to "fill mouse holes using steel wool". Spoiler - this did not help. I did not get any refund or compensation. If you plan to stay in this apartment, be ready to spend your time with mice.

Easy to collect the keys. However in the email the number on the door of the appartment was not written correctly. So that was little bit confusing. Also there was no flexibility unfortunately in the check out time.

− The late check in and early check out time.

Apartment was great for a family of 5 with great space and facilities.

Representative met us on-site to assist with an early check-in and provided a walk through of the apartment.
