− We were 2 days in this place. First day was all that we expected. What we paid that we got. Good location, small room with shared bathroom. Room is without air conditioner but with celling fan that did if nothing, psychology effect that you hope 37 Celsius will be little less or at least moved little bit air around room. Shared bathroom was near the room and clean. I would guess that in whole place, that is on second floor of old building in center of Madrid, was no more than 6 or 7 rooms. On second night we came back in the evening after been all day long on some tour. Not half hour passed - around 9:30 pm electricity went off. This place runs by old man that didn't speak English, but he checked us in, so I can say that he was receptionist. Also, he lived in one of the rooms, that I realized when I went to check if there was somewhere fuse box because other floors in the building had electricity, so only our place was in dark. At that point he also came to hallway with lamp and was speaking on the phone. So I went back into the room counting that he would sort that out. Never happened, whole night from 9:30 pm till 8am when we left, there was no electricity. He never came to knock on the door and to give us any info - it will be fixed or it can't be fixed sorry here is lamp for toilet or similar -never happened. Bathroom was in the pitch dark - you couldn't use it without some kind of light-mobile phone in our case with minimum battery after all day wandering around - but that was poor solution and you couldn't shower or use bathroom in general. Also, without electricity was unbearable to sleep because of heat. We opened window and doors of the room to make some drafts, but that didn't help. Only what we got was lack of privacy in completely dark place. We didn't have basic standard accommodation that we paid or any kind of customer service effort from owner. Zero stars.
