The only hotel in NYC for me
10.0Second time staying here, love the room - Premium King - spacious and well-appointed with chairs, stools etc, can spread out. Common space vibes are great - music, seating areas, Ms. Pac-Man, water station. Old 1920s hotel redone tastefully, solid wood everywhere, always one of the three elevators available. Staff so pleasant. Love the Freehand.
Great NYC basic hotel with comfortable style
9.0Great experience and location for exploring NYC for 3 days. Room was small but very well laid out with shelves, counter, electrical plugs, and hooks. Bed was large and comfortable. Nice size window to let in light. Light wood on the wall, hand painted mural, and the comfortable touches like the soap container made it a nice place to stay. Coffee shop on ground floor and roof top bar made it even better. Good value for the money.

I'd recommend The Freehand Hotel!
9.0I loved the location of the hotel. It was away from the hustle & bustle of Times Square but very convenient for everywhere. There's a Subway station just around the corner (Baruch College & the 6 train) plus lots of shops and eateries a short walk away. I really liked the laid back feel of the hotel & the staff were very helpful. The Three's Company room for my son & I was a good size and had almost everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable.
− We could have done with some tea & coffee making facilities in the room.
